Portland, Oregon
We took a trip to the Pacific Northwest and Alaska in September of 2017. I was able to visit the 48th, 49th, and 50th states that I needed in order to see all 50. Alaska was my 50th. In Portland we drove up the Columbia River to Multnomah Falls where we hiked to the top. This was the day a kid decided to throw a firework down a canyon and start a wildfire. The next day flames were almost to the welcome building. We also visited the Rose Garden and took in a Husker game at a local Husker bar.
