Bayeux, France
Another Ryanair experience took us from Krakow to Beauvais, Rather than going directly into Paris we wanted to take a couple days to explore Normandy. We chose Bayeux as our home base and are glad we did.
We arrived in France about two weeks after the Notre Dame fire so were unable to see that. But the Bayeux Cathedral seemed just as good. Especially at sunset. It was completed in 1077.
We were there on a Sunday night and the streets were basically empty.
