Backyard Firepit
With the coronavirus forcing us to spend more time at home we thought we would make our home feel more like traveling.
The supplies
The before - a fountain that had not been used in years
There is something under the brick that I was not expecting
These square holes were all filled with water
I couldn’t figure out how deep they went to I got a shovel to see.
Pretty deep - must have been some kind of drain system for the old fountain.
I filled with dirt and leveled it out
I put rock down first and then started my border
I bought the bricks and fire ring at Menards. There are round options as well but I liked the way the square ones looked
